Spears Manning & Martini Client Receives Significantly Reduced Sentence
Spears Manning & Martini recently represented Bruno DiFabio, an accomplished restauranteur and internationally known pizza maker. After pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit tax evasion, and facing a sentence of over three years, on May 6, 2021 United States District Judge Victor A. Bolden sentenced Mr. DiFabio to a term of incarceration of 30 days. Judge Bolden credited the arguments made by Spears Manning attorneys Joseph W. Martini and Janna D. Eastwood that factors such as Mr. DiFabio’s remorse and acceptance of responsibility for his conduct, together with decades of contributions to the community and a commitment to make full restitution, warranted this lesser sentence.
